Sophia Grandi, born in Milan and raised in Lake Como in northern Italy, is a professional
photographer and a dive master whose love for nature and animals has been a lifelong
journey. Graduating in biology, Sophia’s fascination with the natural world was nurtured by
her grandfather, who inspired her to explore the beauty of the environment. From a young
age, she was captivated by documentaries, dreaming of far-off places and adventures that
would take her beyond her homeland, envisioning distant lands and adventures that would
ultimately shape her path.
DIFFERENT PLANES
Her travels have taken her across Oceania, particularly to Australia and New Zealand,
where she embraced her adventurous spirit. A master of survival, Sophia has spent years in
the mountains and hills, climbing, chasing wildlife and breathing in the fresh air. Her
dedication to capturing the essence of nature has led her to Africa and Madagascar, where
she continued to pursue her dreams and push her limits.
Sophia also explores the ocean's depths, spending time underwater and at sea with whales, dolphins, and orcas. Each dive allows her to connect with marine life andreinforces her commitment to conservation, motivating her to encourage others to protect these creatures and their habitats.
